With a foundation built upon customer service and dealer growth, there is no one more qualified to lead Ultra Pool Care Squad than Amy Lawhorne. Her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm has been instrumental in developing the Ultra Pool Care Squad brand and in setting the stage for success.

Prior to accepting the challenge of developing the Ultra Pool Care Squad, Amy was the Chief Operating Officer for Authority Brands which is a leading franchisor of 12 home-service franchise brands. Her major role was shepherding The Mosquito Squad into becoming known as the world’s most trusted mosquito elimination franchise. In addition, she served as the COO for sweetFrog Frozen Yogurt with responsibility for more than 350 franchised locations.

The cornerstone of her career has been 21 years within the Dairy Queen organization culminating as the Director of Operations. Her ability to focus on details, leadership, and delivering customer service are assets that have proven invaluable in building today’s Ultra Pool Care Squad.

Franchise success has been a hallmark of Alex’s career for more than 20 years. This includes corporate experience serving as Director of Field Marketing at Bob Evans Restaurants, and as a Regional Marketing Manager at McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Firehouse Subs. On the agency side, he has guided regional co-ops for Domino’s Pizza, national activities for Hallmark Gold Crown retailers, and was part of the historical effort introducing the “$5 Footlong” for Subway Restaurants.

He was also involved in building Blockbuster Video when it was defining what “America’s Family Video Store” meant, helping to consolidate an industry and creating a new standard within the industry. It is an effort that he is excited about doing once again with Ultra Pool Care Squad.

Joining Leisure Pools in January 2017, he became the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer tasked with converting the company from a strict manufacturer mindset to a company focused on brand identity and customer service. Today, the company has morphed into Explore Industries, an international powerhouse that is nearing 100,000 pools sold around the world through the efforts of seven industry-leading brands.

Building upon this foundation, Alex welcomes the challenge of creating another internationally renowned brand. He is most excited about the opportunity to work with motivated entrepreneurs who are committed to keeping families safer and healthier by providing the highest level of swimming pool and spa service and care.
